HOLA!

one mooncycle ago i left Belgica...
one mooncycle ago good friend Kootn departed from us...

writing you from Colon, Entre Rios, Argentinian-Uruguayan border, on the shanti Rio Uruguay!

Last weekend i was in Rosario, birthplace of Che Guevara 80years ago on the 14th of junio, and for this day a statue was inaugurated, made of metal donated by several millions of people who symbolicaly donated their keys. It is the first statue of El Che in Argentina, who at his time left Argentina and got together with El Castro to fight in a different place for change as Argentina was not the right place at that time.

There was a full weekend program with mainly a march on saturday to the parque which will carry Che´s name in future, we were over 50.000 people, atmosphere was great and we ended in the parque with Che´s children and others speeching, some concert and then the revelation off the statue... after spontanuous partys where found all over the city...
On sunday there were concerts near the national monument of Argentina with some very impressive singers, i need to improve my spanish to fully understand the words but the universal heart language made me understand the depth of the songs... amazing!

Rosario is to my feeling a much better place to live and a people´s city then Bueos Aires, with some nice city planning and a place for the people to have a LIFE! Home to many artists musicians... a very expressive city! I liked it a lot, and the riverside parcs are just amazing to chill out and relax, Huge seaships (although you are 500 kilometrs away from the ocean!) just float by to be filled with argentinian grain and soya to move allover this globe... allthough... at this time, many of them were just anchored on a fixed place in the river... waiting...

As in this particular time Argentina is in a very special time... today we passed over 100 days of protests, over 100 days the farmers started to block roads and production in a protest to government new tax raisings on exports, in their turn transporters started to protest becoz they are without jobs... and now all people start to come on the streets asking for change and dialogue, as shops prices start to double and triple, gasstations are closed, and even bustransport starts to close down travels...
People come on the streets with pots, pans and spoons banging and make noise all over... cars drive with horns blowing... it seems like something is going to happen!

So very special times here in Argentina! Offcourse I ll keep you posted from time to time!

Ok, people have to get to my room and get in my sleeping bag, it is really cold here in Argentinian winter!! Already had to buy woolen legwarmers, gloves and sjawl, and probably will have to buy some more when i approach the Andes side!

yesterday a magical sunset and full moonrise over the Rio Uruguay! A few more days here in Entre Rios, then continuing my journey north to corrientes and trying to get to the remote swamps and wetlands of Esteros del Iberia!

Enjoy some picz on :
